Nebraska waterfowl hunts run flat
For the first time in four years, our Nebraska waterfowl hunts along the North Platte River ran just average at best as we waited basically the whole month of December for rough weather to the north of us which just didn't happen. This in turn, left much fewer birds in the area to work with, and there was little we could to turn this around. Averaging just 17 birds per day this season, just didn't even come close to the past three seasons. Along with this, was that when you looked at your 10 day weather app, and everyday was basically the same with highs in the 50's and lows in the upper 20's, didn't help to lead to the anticipation that we all look forward to on those rough looking weather days.
